I was born in Budapest in 1983. I was seven when I got my first transistor, however, I didn't quite understand at that time how it worked. This has been solved for now: currently I'm writing my thesis at the Department of Theoretical Physics of the BUTE.
I started playing the piano at the age of twelve and it was not a long time afterwards when I made my first pieces. Currently I'm studying composition with Zoltán Jeney at the Liszt Academy of Music (Budapest) since 2005. I was student of Marco Stroppa at Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart between 2010 and 2011 due to a grant. I have a deep interest towards electronic music and the research covering that field.
I joined the European Bridges Ensemble, a group consisting of five laptop-performers, a conductor and a visual artist in 2007. Being a mixed ensemble of five different nationalities, the members managed to learn about each other through the Internet. Thanks to the platform used by us, we are able to perform at different locations at the same time. We participated in festivals like ICMC (Belfast, 2008), SIGGRAPH Asia (Yokohama, 2009) or Klangwerktage (Hamburg, 2008 & 2009), among others. We made several concerts in Budapest and other European cities as well.
As a software developer I took part in several projects, mainly related to the Max/MSP environment. I am responsible for the analysis toolset and the synthesizers used by KlangPilot, I also contribute from time to time to MaxScore. I was taking part in the Co-Me-Di-A project as a contractor of the Hungarian Computer Music Foundation between 2007 and 2010. Co-Me-Di-A was a joint research project of seven European institutions seeking for the possible applications of high-speed networks (mainly the Internet) in the artistic field.
